1. Purpose

These terms and conditions govern the interior decoration, layout and interior design services offered by YAV Creative Design, including YAV Coaching and YAV Design.

2. Quote and start of the assignment

The assignment begins once the quote has been accepted and the first scheduled payment has been made. No detailed design work, plans or complete design file will be produced before the assignment has been confirmed and the agreed payment received.

3. Deposit and payments

A deposit of 30% may be requested upon acceptance of the quote. The payment terms and schedule applicable to the assignment are specified in the quote. If the project is discontinued, the amounts due are calculated on the basis of the work actually carried out and are set out in a justified statement.

4. Project process

Depending on the assignment: visit and analysis → report / recommendations → choice of YAV Coaching or YAV Design → quote and payment → questionnaire and design → plans, selections and the file required for implementation. The initial report does not constitute a final technical specification.

5. Plans, dimensions and implementation

YAV plans and documents provide a clear basis for discussions, requests for quotes and the implementation of the project. Dimensions and technical constraints must be checked on site before any manufacturing, made-to-measure order or execution. Contractors and craftspeople remain responsible for their own technical checks and for the proper execution of their work.

6. Changes and revisions

One round of revisions is included in each package, unless otherwise stated in the quote. Any additional changes or major redesign may be subject to an additional charge. An error attributable to YAV will be corrected without counting as a revision.

7. Technical constraints

Where a technical constraint reported by a contractor requires a minor adjustment to the project, this may be made at no extra cost provided it remains limited. Any significant change to the design or to the scope of the assignment will be subject to a separate agreement.

8. Purchases, suppliers and craftspeople

Unless a specific assignment is provided for in the quote, YAV does not provide full site supervision. Orders, lead times, availability, deliveries and third-party services remain subject to the terms of the respective suppliers, manufacturers, craftspeople or contractors.

9. Timelines

Design timelines are set according to the scope of the project and the information required to carry it out. They may change in the event of delays in providing information, in client approval, changes to the project or dependence on a third party.

10. Cancellation and interruption

Any request for cancellation or interruption must be made in writing. Services already provided remain payable. Any remaining balance is determined according to the actual progress of the assignment.

11. Right of withdrawal

Where Belgian consumer law provides for a right of withdrawal, the client may exercise it within the applicable legal period. If the client expressly requests that the service begin before the end of this period, the part of the service already performed may remain payable in accordance with the applicable rules.

12. Intellectual property

The concepts, plans, visuals, selections and documents created by YAV remain protected by copyright. They are provided to the client for their intended use within the scope of the project concerned and may not be reproduced, modified or commercially exploited by a third party without consent.

13. Liability

YAV works within the scope of its interior decoration and design assignment. Structural, technical or regulatory studies requiring the involvement of an architect, engineer or other qualified professional remain the responsibility of those professionals.

14. Complaints and amicable settlement

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution. A consumer client may, where the legal conditions are met, refer the matter to the competent mediation service in Belgium before taking any legal action.

15. Data and communication

Data provided in connection with a request or project is used to manage the client relationship. Subscribing to YAV news and inspiration is a separate and voluntary choice.
